Delays in finalising the ESOS Phase 3 guidance and compliance portal have caused concerns regarding the tight timeframe for meeting the 5th June Deadline. In response to this, the Environmental Agency announced last month that there will be an ‘enforcement extension period’.

The 5th June deadline remains, but enforcement action won’t be taken against non-compliant organisations provided they meet two conditions:

  • Register your account in the system by 5 June 2024.
  • Submit your notification of compliance by 6 August 2024.

We strongly advise all clients to aim to complete both registration and notification of compliance by 5 June 2024. Our team of experts will be working with clients to ensure they achieve this goal.

Compliance matters to us, and we’re committed to guiding clients through every step of the process. For further support or clarification, please don’t hesitate to get in touch – visit our ESOS service page for more information.
