At Carbonxgen, we are proud to have a strong company culture that encourages fairness and inclusivity, which translates to a focus on our people and equal opportunities, regardless of gender.
Carbonxgen is fortunate to have had such a hardworking team and we are proud to have women make up 57% of our workforce. Several women represent senior positions within the company, and we have an all-female board.
We asked our team what International Women’s Day meant to them, and how that aligned with Carbonxgen’s values and culture.

Today & every day, I am so very proud to work in an organisation with so many strong women.
Having grown up in a household with a strong female role model (& a strong father who was more than happy for her to be the breadwinner of the household) it is refreshing to continue that positive dynamic in my working life as well. I also love that this business allows each person to reach the goal they want – either to become a director or to find that perfect work/life balance in a role that gives them purpose.

Women have faced and continue to face various challenges in their daily lives while making meaningful contributions to their respective fields. It’s important to acknowledge and appreciate their individual perspectives and skills. We must encourage and empower women in their professions and strive towards a more inclusive society. Wishing all the incredible women at Carbonxgen, a Happy International Women’s Day every day.

IWD is a moment of reflection for me. It is about saying thank you to the male and female influences in my life, which happen to be both positive and negative, that made me so committed to providing a different life for my family and for those whose paths I crossed. I cannot say that it was a positive, strong, woman that moulded that, nor was it important to me, nor did I get it all right! It was just a stubborn streak that wouldn’t allow me to just accept what others said was right or acceptable. I will always give the greatest respect to our Chairman because, in order to believe in me, he had to go against almost every principle that he believed in. This is an incredibly difficult thing for anybody to do and equally difficult to deliver against but, if you believe in yourself, surround yourself with great people and create an environment where everyone matters, you can achieve what you set out to achieve. I guess I am lucky, I do not feel I need to celebrate such a day as I have never felt undervalued as a woman and it is that which I hope I am able to impart to others.

IWD makes me so proud to work for a company with such a strong female board of kick-ass Directors, supported by amazing men who allow us all to take up the space we deserve and are proud to work alongside strong women. I am surrounded by so many incredible women in my life, at work and at home, that encourages, support and cheer me on to be the best I can be and understand that the pressure to ‘have it all’ can be a lot, it’s not always about being strong and smashing glass ceilings, allowing us to be real women with struggles and providing the support that is needed makes the women (and men) in our business truly amazing!
Carly Wyatt, Director of Managed Services
To be part of such an inclusive team is a really special thing, for everybody to feel that every individual brings unique but equal value and perspective to the business and their colleagues is amazing! Culture in a business is created by those in it, it is not something a leadership team can choose and implement it is something that happens as a result of the actions and values of all of the individuals contributing to it. IWD as I read these messages and sit and think about the people I work with just makes me grateful I do not need IWD for those around me to know how important inclusion is but it does highlight the importance of awareness for anybody that is not as lucky as we are!

After being told I would never be able to have a daughter, 17 years ago I was blessed with my Ellie who has become the strongest, kindest and most inspirational young woman I know. I count my blessing and feel so happy and proud every International Women’s Day that I have been given a best friend for life.
Happy International Women’s Day
