As I am sure you are aware, the World Health Organisation has now categorised the outbreak of the Coronavirus, COVID-19, to be a pandemic and the UK is implementing measures to delay the spread of the disease as it can no longer be contained.
During this time, our clients can expect a business as usual service as far as is possible. The welfare of our staff, clients, contractors and suppliers is of paramount importance to us. We are taking the advice of Public Health England and therefore may ask our staff to work at home in the coming weeks. We made a fortuitous decision, as part of our commitment to business continuity, to upgrade our IT infrastructure in 2019 so the remote working transition for our clients will be seamless. You will be able to reach us by email and telephone as you normally do.
We are also placing a restriction on travel which will be limited to necessary journeys only. We have the capability to facilitate meetings via Skype, conference calling and screen sharing so we will continue to be present at meetings albeit remotely. Whilst this is due to Covid-19, we are also pursuing more opportunities in this area to reduce our carbon footprint as part of our Net Zero Carbon pledge so this is an opportunity to trial this approach. We will review all site visits and scheduled works with you and decide on the best course of action on a case by case basis.
We remain committed to supporting you and your teams during this time of uncertainty. We will continue to deliver a high-quality, reliable service for our clients and our staff are standing by to help you with any needs.
Most importantly, we wish to extend our thoughts and best wishes to all who have been personally affected by Covid-19.
